To expedite a journey to important social change we must have a vision of what land we would like to reach, as well as an understanding of the landscape we would leave behind.

Most important is to be aware of the contrasting climates of these regions--the climate that gives rise to the events that we would leave behind, as opposed to the climate that nurtures activities we would like to see.

Our home page makes clear these climates or basic social values involved in the New World Movement. We would shift from an emphasis on ACQUIRING to a spirit of universal CARING.

The movement that could bring about this value change has not yet emerged. The yin and the yang--"Yes!" and "No!--have not been clearly presented to the public as one journey--from and to.
Peace groups largely say "No!" to particular instances of aggression, "No!" to particular weapons systems (esp. nuclear weapons), "No!" to particular foreign policies.
Environmental groups say "No!" to particular cases of plundering and polluting.
These groups present very little alternative solutions that would apply to all these harmful situations.
Some peace groups present only the "Yes" to peace with symbols of doves, meditations, mantras, invocations.
One world groups, avoiding confrontations, create world constitutions, brandish symbols of one world, and hold conferences.
Almost all of these waste considerable effort trying vainly to influence the political process. "Write to your President, Prime Minister, Senator, Parliament member, etc." It is quite unlikely that any of these politicians will speak out for basic social change. They are elected to maintain and slightly patch the status quo.
Presenting to a worldwide grassroots public a firm "No!" to militarism, national sovereignty, plundering and polluting the environment, harmful profiteering, along with a powerful "Yes!" to a desirable alternative--a caring world community--is most likely to bring about essential attention, controversy, and discussion.

Combining the efforts of all the groups caring more for human and environmental well-being than for acquiring money, privilege, and power greatly furthers social change.

In a particular area the rays of the sun may be warm, but when these rays are focused through a lens and co-ordinated their energy is increased to the point that they can ignite a fire.
So it is with the energies of caring groups, when combined through the lens of a single recognizable movement.
The Movement needs a name and distinguishing features, including a wide range of symbols. Every person involved must know the Movement, its goals and broad strategy. They must know how they can best express their involvement, their commitment, loyalty, and glorification of the larger Cause.
