For an ultimate goal to be attained we must look far beyond what may be achieved under the present conditions and values. This vision must be as close to an ideal world order as human knowledge and technology can make it.

It is a world in which caring humans serve the well-being of the Human Family and our natural environment ahead of all selfish interests. The quest for profits, personal wealth, privilege, and power will be rare and condemned as immoral and shameful.

Other features of an ideal new world would be the following:

1.) A public concern for controlling the human population numbers to be in harmony with food and fresh water resources, and with other species and their habitats,
2.) Every person on earth would be provided with the basic necessities for healthy and fulfilling living ("livingry", a term invented by R. Buckminster Fuller, to contrast with "killingry"). I would include among such necessities food, clothing, shelter, means of transportation and communication, and health care.
3.) No one would find it necessary to resort to crime or other activities harmful to fellow humans and the environment to acquire the money for livingry.
4.) No human would have the power to control other humans by means of money or weaponry.
5.) Humans would care deeply for the health and harmony of the environment and preserving the widest diversity of living species and their natural habitats
6.) Public opinion would hold human life as more sacred than any human-made concepts such as nations, races, religions, tribes, cultures, social systems, etc.
7.) National sovereignty would give way to world community, resulting in the end of "national defense" and weapons of mass destruction. All lethal weapons would be condemned and abolished.
8.) Challenge, commitment, and excitement would be found in humans exploring the globe to experience new lands, cultures, scenery, wildlife, and new human friends. --Also, outer-space, spiritual experiences and life affirmations, the arts, scientific mysteries, new cures for illnesses, etc.
9.) Life-long learning would be available and encouraged for all.
