Stir public attention!

Publicity is essential for the birth of a movement. The media is not interested in ideas, ideals, utopias.
Only what is exciting. Intense controversies stir excitement, media interest.

A Movement to break away from time-honored values will provoke strong opposition, controversy, media interest. Words and actions to reject and downgrade certain sacred principles, by attacking sacred symbols, will arouse serious reaction. The media steps in to capitalize on public concern. Even a small group can detonate a major controversy. Take these steps:

1. Make your own personal commitment to condemn and reject divisive and destructive actions, as well as the traditions, laws, and institutions that support them. Your commitment to honoring and exalting institutions and practices that show care for human life and well-being, and for our environment.
2. Find two or more others who understand the Movement and its world community goal, and who are willing to make the same commitment.
3. The messages you want to get out are:
All killing and preparations for killing must stop now!
Security from national defense can and must be replaced by formation of unarmed world community with a world constitution, world law, and enforcement against individual world law-breakers Shift allegiance from nation, race, religion, etc. to world community and to a global movement to establish it.
Stop glorifying militarism, weapons, and national sovereignty.
No honor, but shame in production or use of weapons. No honor for uniforms, titles, ranks, or experience in wielding killing weapons.
Publicly approach school boards, school officials and teachers, urging them to abandon all glorifying or honoring militarism and national sovereignty, but rather teach children to think of themselves as world citizens and stewards of the world environment. Bring the message of the globalCARING MOVEMENT to the youth groups of religious institutions.
